Fun Friday

This fun Friday post is gonna be super fun! We've heard from the good guys so many times so let's let the villains have a turn; Villain Takeover style.
I've got Darcey here on the blog today. She's a villain from Suzy Turner's books (read below to find out more about this awesome author) and she's answered some questions.

For some stupid reason, my creator (a weirdo who goes by the name of Suzy Turner) decided she wanted to interview me. And because she basically controls everything I do, I can't exactly say no, can I? I HAVE to do whatever she tells me to do. I don't have to like it though, do I? So frickin' boring...

State your name
Darcey

Age
19

Appearance
What the hell do you mean, appearance?

What do you look like, Darcey? Just answer the question!
Oh right. Erm, well, blonde dreadlocks, large blue eyes. I've been told I'm beautiful by my man, Drake. And whatever he says, goes. So I guess I'm gorgeous. Sniggers.

Occupation
Huh? What, like a job or something? Well, I once worked at the British Museum in London. Other than that I just do whatever Drake tells me to do. Sometimes that involves stealing stuff or attacking people (mainly Watchers – pathetic group of beings that claim to be half angels who think they're better than everyone else – not bloody likely though).

What have you got against the Watchers, Darcey?
Huh, you're kidding right? They're freaks with weird powers. What's to like?

Hobbies
Hanging out at the cemetery with Drake and the wolves.

Wolves?
Yeah, a couple of our pals are werewolves. They're quite cool, useful at times. A bit thick though.

What's your favourite book
Splutters... books? Yeah right, like I ever read!

Not even when you were a child?
I grew up pretty fast. My parents weren't exactly into that sort of thing.

Favourite movie
Sleepy Hollow. I just LOVE the Headless Horseman. That guy rocks.

Favourite TV show
Sleepy Hollow for the same reason as above and The Walking Dead... just love those freaking zombies.

Favourite food
Steak, rare and juicy... all that blood...mmmm

Special skills
* Grins wickedly * I got the ability to make people lose their memories. I can even make it work on the dead. Cool huh?

Read more about Darcey in The Morgan Sisters series by Suzy Turner. Books 1-3 are available at all major online bookstores. Pick up Book 1 & 2, Daisy Madigan's Paradise and The Ghost of Josiah Grimshaw for free on Amazon. Thanks to XX XX for hosting this Fun Friday VILLAIN TAKEOVER from The Society of YA Storytellers.

Suzy Turner has worked as a journalist, assistant editor, features editor and magazine editor. Early in 2010 however, she began writing full time and has since completed six books for young adults: The Raven Saga trilogy and The Morgan Sisters series as well as a chick lit novel called Forever Fredless.
Although Suzy is a Yorkshire lass at heart, she left her home town of Rotherham, UK, to move to Portugal with her family when she was ten. The Algarve continues to be her home, where she lives with her husband of 15 years, Michael, their two neurotic dogs and a cat who thinks she's a princess.

Fun Friday's ~Romantic excerpt from The Unraveling of Avery Snow~

He sat quietly on the lounge chair that over looked the ocean below. We both knew the house was perfect when we saw the view. It reminded us of the view in Monterey, only closer to our families.

"Why are you out here?" I had startled him and laughed as he held his beating heart.

"You have to stop scaring me like that, woman!" I sat down next to him, still laughing.

"Well?" I pressed. He had come out here every night since we moved in. I worried he wasn’t happy with me, but he said that was the hormones talking. Sometimes hormones did make me a little crazy, but I knew something was up with him. He just didn’t want to tell me.
"Come on Landon, spill. What is going on?" He took a heavy breath and pulled out a box. He laid it in my hand and smiled.

"I have been waiting for the right time. The right moment to give it to you," he said. We hadn’t married yet. We did things a little backwards in this lifetime. I never pressed the marriage issue. For me it felt like all the times before counted still in this life. I knew we would marry at some point, but making a home for our son was what mattered most.

"Avery, I almost lost you twice! Seeing that both times, well, it killed me. I don’t ever want to lose you. I want to raise our son and live in this home as a family. As husband and wife. Will you marry me, again?" he asked as he put his hands on my stomach.

"Yes I will. Just like all the times before," I said as I leaned in to kiss him.

We were making our beginning for the first time in this life. He opened the box and slipped the diamond ring on my finger. I had to unravel in order to find my true happiness with Landon. It seems like some souls have to fall apart and go through the most painful situations.

Sometimes the outcome can be good. In my case, it was a happy ending
